Drupal is my life…
Well I’m finally back from my blogging hiatus. The reason I had left was to evaluate the open source platform known as Drupal, and evaluate I did. In fact my week long project (my initial thought was to only take a break from webpodge for 7 days) turned into a 3 month journey into the open source jungle. So first I wanted to mess with themes, then I wanted to make a module, then I wanted to do a little javascript, then I wanted to Ajax’ify my site, you can start to see the pattern. Anyhow the good news is I’m back in the saddle and ready to give my evaluation of Drupal, not specifically versus Joomla, but as a stand alone open source platform. Beginning tomorrow I’m going to talk about how to…
1. Start a Drupal website from scratch.
2. Modify the style of your Drupal site (themes).
3. Explain what the heck nodes, taxonomies, and blocks are.
4. Of course, give sample code and helpful hints.
5. Talk about how to make your own little social network that runs on Drupal.
6. Give great Drupal resources.
7. Release CSS code.
and a bunch of other stuff. So I hope you enjoy the next couple of days (perhaps weeks) because everything you read was paid for in late nights and mountain dews.
Criticalsole.com is the site I created using Drupal.

Well then let the fun begin. I’ll try to do my best to cover the full gamut.
