Web 2.0 Startup School - Part 1 of 10
So with all the open source code and free web 2.0 apps out there ranging from Google Docs for word processing to Joomla or Drupal for your Salesforce clone it doesn’t take much nowadays to build a web 2.0 startup. Well, that is, given that you got a saavy coder who can learn on the fly quickly. So that said my friend (who is a long time project manager and startup genius) are going to lay out the foundation for your startup. So grab a backpack and let us be your guides as we lay it down.
Part 1 - What is your idea?
Last night I struggled with what would be the ideal web 2.0 company to model to give the most bang for the buck. So instead of coming up with an idea that I think everyone would benefit from I’ve decided to, well, ask everyone. So starting tomorrow morning at 10 PST I will write a post asking for ideas of what you would like modeled or web 2.0′ized. They can be companies/websites that exist already or brand new ideas. One suggestion might be to remodel AskCity.com or another might be to create a social network around Kite Flyers, really the book is open.
All you have to do to get free web 2.0 and online advertising consulting is watch for the post tomorrow, Open for Suggestions at 10am PST, and then comment with your suggestion. Once all suggestions have been taken (Deadline is 9pm PST) there will be a vote (using digg voting) to determine the top 3 suggestions. The top 3 ideas will then all get Web 2.0′ized!
Opening Time for Suggestions: 10am PST
