Social Networking Conference - Miami
The deadline approaches for the Social Networking Conference in Miami, register before November 30th to save $200 bucks. It’s a conference that is focused on social networking websites. So if you own a social networking site this is the place to be, mainly because of who will be there. Here is a list of the types of contacts you can make as a social networking web publisher:
1. The Venture Capitalist - are you looking for money? You’ll have your fair share of VC’s weaving through the hallways looking for the next myspace.
2. Social Networking Publishers - yep, people just like you. My advice is to get tips from all of them, most likely there is something you could be doing to make your social network more viral than it already is.
3. Speakers - you have a range of speakers from MSN to Yahoo to Userplane. Though I’m not big on sitting in an exhibition hall and listening to someone blow smoke, some of their speakers will drop a good gold nugget or two.
