Pawspot - Social Networking for Pets, your dog needs friends too!
So living right next to the park you can’t help but see dogs everyday, and so after a short time you begin to want a dog, disregarding the overwhelming responsibility that comes with a dog like using your Safeway plastic bag to pick up poop (I always feel sorry for owners with huge dogs, like St. Bernards, when the dog poos and all they have is that little plastic grocery bag). That said, I’ve decided that Im’ ready to have a dog again, the only problem is which dog. So using my Web 2.0′ized brain I began to ask around about any new beta petsites and I came to Pawspot.com. Here is the real-deal-holyfield on pawspot:
Pawspot is rad because:
It’s a social network for pets with a human profile attached to each pet, so you register as pair. In addition to the simplicity of the layout, which I love, you can use pawspot for pet sitting as well. The ability to have a network of fellow dog owners in the area that can pet sit for you is huge when you travel alot for work, this is a fantastic ways to avoid “hidden presents” in your room. The one feature that I found really helpful was the “find parks” feature which allows you to find parks near you that have pet fountains, leash laws, fences, etc. So if you’re thinking about getting a pet or have a pet already I’d definitely recommend checking out the pawspot.
As far as me, I’m undecided between a Golden Lab, Golden Retriever, and a Corgi (not sure why a Corgi, I think I just appeal to a short stout dog that can run fast).
